Pistachios are the "green gold" of Sicily, where they are an essential ingredient in both sweet and savory dishes. While cranberries aren't traditional in Italian desserts, they pair well here with the pistachios, in this crunchy orange-spice cookie. My research team (i.e. husband) reports that it goes exceptionally well with a cup of Earl Grey tea.
